For Our Neighbors
A permanent home will strengthen Casa Latina’s capacity to achieve its mission by providing integrated programs, improved facilities and a cultural center to celebrate the value Latino immigrants add to the community.
A home designed to reflect Casa Latina’s spirit, philosophy and achievements will be a vibrant cultural nexus where Latinos and other community members will come together to strengthen social networks. Our new home will increase efficiency and effectiveness of program delivery by consolidating from four sites into one, bringing all staff together, and providing adequate work and program spaces.
Casa Latina is committed to being a good neighbor. We signed a Good Neighbor Agreement in December 2008 and moved into our renovated building in March 2009. With the help of our neighborhood advisory committee, we have successfully integrated our programs into the neighborhood and have made the neighborhood safer. Read all about it in this report from the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.
