Information for Employers

Thank you for hiring workers from Casa Latina.

Please note:  Our workers are not independent contractors.

If you are a homeowner, you are hiring casual labor.  You do not need to ask for documents for casual labor.  We do the best we can to screen workers; however, some workers are just starting out their work history with us.  We recommend that you supervise them closely.  If you are unsatisfied with their work, ask them to stop working, pay them only for the hours worked, and call us.  We will be happy to send you a replacement worker.  Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee their work.

We do not provide insurance.  You are responsible for providing a safe work environment, proper tools and safety equipment for your workers. 

If you are a business owner or a contractor, you are hiring an employee.  You are responsible for following all relevant labor laws.  Please consult with Washington State Labor and Industries if you have any questions about your responsibilities.
